Join me on the Feeding Couch
To the couch!I believe every mum should be able to choose how she wants to feed her baby!
That statement may sound strange, however around 80-96% of women choose to breastfeed but by just 6-8 weeks after birth a third to almost a half of women have stopped breastfeeding! And of those women who stopped 80 % said that they stopped breastfeeding before they wanted to!
A new mum should be able to feed her baby how she wants, and therefore be supported well enough to enable her to reach her breastfeeding goals.
Research has shown that the two most common reasons why women stop breastfeeding (low milk supply and sore nipples) could be prevented simply by good pregnancy education and early breastfeeding support once baby is born.
I have taken the things I've have found out from years of educating and supporting mums-and-parents-to-be, new parents, as well as thousands of health professionals and birth workers to make a course which not only gives you the basics but fills in the gaps many other course miss out.
With my passion for all things breastfeeding and lactation I've helped a lot of families find their way through the maze of feeding. Plus, I've spent the past 16 years also working in lactation education; training on lactation topics or supporting health professionals to sit the lactation consultant exam. What does that mean? Staying up-to-date with the latest research is crucial. So in this course you'll find golden nuggets which you can trust.
